There comes a time when we ladies get the itch to switch up our style. If you've decided to experiment with a new hair color, consider a few things you should do to keep that color popping and your hair healthy. If you are looking for tips on colored natural hair, you have come to the right place. In this article, we are going to be explaining how to keep dyed hair healthy and strong from root to tip.

Before You Color...

Before you even head to the salon or attempt to do your own color, there are some things you should consider. Below are some curly hair dyed tips to keep in mind.

Is My Hair in Good Condition for Color?

With hair dye comes some level of damage simply because it opens up the hair cuticle to lift your natural color and deposit the new one. This leaves the hair dry and porous, which can lead to breakage for any hair type. If your hair is already suffering from issues like dryness and split ends, then coloring your hair will only add to the problem. Before you choose to go the colored natural hair route, consider fixing split ends by getting regular haircuts and using deep conditioning treatments. You may want to reconsider until your hair is in a healthier state.

Can I Handle the Upkeep of Colored Hair?
